more often than not经常，往往：
  They more often than no walk to school. 他们经常走路去上学。
more or less或多或少，大约，大体上，基本上：
  It’s more or less an hour’s journey. 大约一个小时的路。
  I am more or less an adult. 基本上我已是成年人了。
more than超过，不止［口］非常，十分：
   His income is far more than that. 他的收入远不止那些。

   more 和than连用，通常起副词的作用。若后接名词，常译为“不只是，不仅仅”等，后接数词（=over），常译成“••••••以上，超过”；后接形容词、副词或动词，相当于very或much, 常译为“非常，很，简直”等，more than还可看作连词或介词，后接含有can的从句，常译为“非常，很简直”等，more than还可看作连词或介词事，后接含有can 的从句，常译为“难以”。注意more than one … 做主语时，虽指两个以上，有复数概念，但谓语动词用单数形式。

  more … than用作“比•••••更”，主要指两种事物或程度的比较，more后可接三个音节以上（少数双音节）的形容词或副词，还可接名词、介词、分词等。用于“与其说是••••••，不如说是••••••”主要指同一人或物本身的两种品质、性质、程度或先后的比较，这时，more 后可接名词、分词、动词、形容词等。形容词不一定是多音节词。

mount up增长，积累，上升：

move on继续前进；继续进行；（警察用语）走开，不要站着：
   We will now move on to my next proposal.　我们现在要进而讨论我的下一个建议。
   The policeman told the bystanders to move on.　尽管我很喜欢它，却买不起。
much as尽管••••••：
  Much as I like it, I can’t afford it.　尽管我很喜欢它，却买不起。
much better than比•••••好很多：
   I’m much better than I was.　我现在好多了。

much less更不用说，何况：
