hold with 赞成（原则），支持（实践）；忍受，容忍（通常用于否定句）：

far 表示距离时，仅用在疑问句或否定句中，肯定句中则用其它方式表示，例如：
I went a long (不能用far) way yesterday, but only a short way today. 昨天我走了很远一般路程，不过今天只走了一小段.
how long多长：
How long is it? 它有多长？

how often多久：
How often do you write to your parents? 你多久给你父母写一次信？

(1) 回答how often时，答句中的时间关语的通常应包括次数(once, twice, three times, etc.) 和时间(a day, a week, a month, etc)两部分。
(2) How long和how often的区别：前者表示“某动作进行了多久”，后者则表示“某动作反复进行时，中间间隔的时间是多久”。“你多久去一次？”不能译成“How long do you go there？”
how old 几岁：
How old is the little boy over there? 那边那个小男孩多大了？
how soon多久，多快：
How soon can you come? In three hours. “你什么时候能来呢？”“过三个钟头就来。”

回答how soon时，答句中常用含in 的时间状语（不用after），表示“在一段时间之后”，通常用将来时。
human race人类：
The earth is the cradle of the human race. 地球是人类的摇篮。
human right人权：
Human right is very important to everybody. 人权对每一个人来说都十分重要。
hundreds of数百，成百上千，许许多多••••••：
Hundreds of people rushed into the hall. 好几百人冲进了大厅。
He has hundreds of story books. 他有许多本故事书。
hurry along很快过去；赶紧走，匆匆的赶路：
Time hurries along. 光阴似箭。
They hurry along. 他们匆匆赶路。
hurry off / away匆匆离开，匆忙下（车、船等）：
Why did he hurry away? 他为何匆匆离去？
He hurried off the bus . 他匆匆下了车。
hurry on with（匆匆）草草做完，抓紧办理好：
I hope you hurry on with that matter. 我希望你抓紧办理好那件事。
hurry over / through匆匆做完，抓紧办理好：
I hurried over my homework. 我匆忙做完了作业。
He hurried through the book. 他匆匆忙忙地把这本书看完。
hurry to / towards 匆匆赶往：
He hurried to the school. 匆忙赶往学校。
hurry up赶紧，赶快，快点：
Hurry up or we shall be late. 快点，否则我们要迟到了。
I tried to hurry him up but he wouldn’t walk any faster. 我极力催他快一点，的但他偏不快走。
